Ardington House Wedding Photography
Photographing weddings at Ardington House
Ardington House is an exclusive use events venue, allowing you to take over the whole of this beautiful private setting and make it feel like home to you and your wedding guests. The house and formal gardens are an ideal setting for welcome drinks, canapés, garden games and wedding photography. The riverside garden marquee is set within the parkland and offers uninterrupted views up to the house, it really is the most perfect wedding venue location.
I’ve only ever attended one wedding at this wonderful Oxfordshire venue, and I was truly blown away by the interiors in the main house, and with their wonderful gardens. As far as wedding photography opportunities go, it is a place that’s hard to beat for the sheer wow factor.
Ardington House was commissioned by Edward Clarke, who wanted a house in the Baroque style with perfect symmetry and an emphasis on natural light throughout. Since 1939, Ardington House has been owned by the Baring family, best known as a family of bankers who established Barings Bank in 1762 and also went on to produce a number of well-known politicians and colonial governors in the 19th century. Portraits of various family members from the eighteenth to the twentieth centuries now adorn the walls of the house.
