Compleat Angler Wedding Photography

Photographing weddings at the Compleat Angler

The Compleat Angler was built in the 1600’s, and it was the coolest place to stay and dine outside of London for many decades as its River Thames location it made it easily accessible for Victorian Londoners looking to escape the city smog on paddle steamers for a relaxing weekend in rural Marlow. The hotel has been frequented by royalty and many celebrities over the years, and it’s even been known to host the occasional celebrity wedding.

The Compleat Angler’s idyllic riverside setting is the most perfect location for your wedding day and photographs. Whether it’s drinks inside by the roaring fires on a winters day or champagne outside on the lawn in the summer sunshine the Compleat Angler Hotel provides a stunning backdrop whatever the season.  Many couples set sail on one of the hotel’s luxury wedding boats for a short journey along the Thames on their special day, and this creates the most wonderful pictures.

The hotel can seat up to 120 guests during the day, and can host a total of up to 200 guests during the evening.

The stunning terrace, lawns and the adjacent Marlow bridge and weir provide amazing backdrops for wedding photograph opportunities. This is one of my favourite riverside wedding venues, if you love a bit of history, a magical riverside location, and divine food, the Compleat Angler could well tick many boxes on your wedding wish list.
