Hedsor House Wedding Photographs – Carmel & Harry

Magical Autumnal Day

Carmel and Harry chose the wonderful Hedsor House for their autumn wedding, and I’m thrilled with the resulting photographs. This gorgeous Georgian Manor House is amazing. And, for their wedding to be on a perfect blue skied autumn day was an added bonus! I’ve now photographed eight weddings at this wonderful venue, and I just love returning time after time.

Hedsor House – A Film/TV Set And A Wedding Venue

The journey along the sweeping driveway up to the main house is pretty special, meandering through the scenic woodland areas. You travel past the resident highland cows, and then the real treat is when the main house comes into view across the manicured lawns. No doubt this is part of the reason that so many Hollywood studios have chosen Hedsor House as their perfect film set. Downton Abbey and Spooks were recently filmed at Hedsor, so some of the backdrops below may well be familiar to you.

Autumnal Wedding Theme

This was a great wedding to attend – the attention to detail throughout was so evident.  Carmel’s stunning dress, the fabulous flowers and the vibrant autumnal colour scheme really made the photographs a pleasure.  Add to that the striking uplighters illuminating the Centre Hall with its dramatic glass domed ceiling; the overall effect was an absolute wow!

Carmel and Harry were so relaxed and calm. They just took everything in their stride, and really loved every minute of their special day.  The non-stop smiles and laughter in my pictures are as natural as can be, and this made for many great picture opportunities!

I could sense that not only are they madly in love, but they are really close to their immediate family and friends. This connection came through in their wedding pictures throughout the course of the day.

My Favourite Photographs – Hedsor House Floodlit

I stayed through until the evening to capture some of my signature floodlit images, I love these dusky night shots. The front of the building looks amazing when I mix their floodlights and mine, the final effects are so dramatic.  If you click on this blog link you’ll be able to see some before and after shots showcasing the techniques I use. Low Light Wedding Photography

Just before sundown I captured some images of the couple with their attendants in the golden autumnal light. Then, just before we all went indoors to warm up I captured the most wonderful sunset wedding photograph of Harry and Carmel in silhouette against Hedsor House’s striking 250-year-old cedar tree.

I also loved the action packed dancing images, these guys knew how to party non-stop.

Kind Words

Dear Mark,

Thank you so much for photographing our wedding.  Everyone kept commenting on how hard you were working.  We are so appreciative – thank you!

We wanted to say a massive thank you for the fantastic job you did.  All the pictures were taken swiftly and in good time, however there were no compromises on quality or organisation of the staged photos.

Your professionalism and generosity of your time on the day was noticed and complimented on by many of our guests.

We loved the fact that you were able to show us a selection of photos just days after our wedding and they are fantastic.

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone planning a wedding.

Many thanks again,

Carmel & Harry
