Kings Chapel Amersham Christmas wedding – Sarah & Greg

The Kings Chapel in Old Amersham – A Fabulous Wedding Venue In Any Season

There is something truly magical about Christmas weddings! In December I captured a beautiful Christmas wedding in old Amersham that perfectly embodied the festive spirit. Sarah and Greg got married at the fabulous Kings Chapel in Old Amersham.

A huge beautifully decorated Christmas tree adorned with sparkling ornaments drew all eyes in the Kings Chapel. Then all around us were thousands of twinkling fairy lights cascading from the chapel’s balcony. This majestic tree and striking decorations really added to the festive ambiance. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect backdrop for photo opportunities.

Night Shots

The non-stop smiles and the sparkle in the newlyweds eyes reflected the joy of the occasion. A great sign of a happy marriage has to be a couple who make each other laugh non-stop! I loved witnessing this joyful interaction between Sarah and Greg.

Sarah and Greg fully embraced the suggestion to venture along the medieval high street after dark to make the most of the gorgeous festive lighting. Miraculously it wasn’t that cold at all, but the whole time I had an eye on the timings, and made sure that Sarah’s stunning gown didn’t get marked.

Fabulous Historic Venue & Medieval High Street

For my night-shots I’m carrying additional floodlighting to really boost the results you see here. The festive lighting was great, but it’s never quite enough to create the absolute wow factor.

This Christmas wedding was filled with love and celebration. Whilst Sarah and Greg’s personal touches created the most unique and memorable experience for everyone present.

I hope my photos from their wedding tell the story of their love, and capture the essence of the season, as well as showcasing the majestic grandeur of this wonderful historic venue.

Kings Chapel Amersham Christmas Wedding

The Kings Chapel nestles in the beautiful Chiltern Hills, just behind The Kings Arms Hotel in Old Amersham’s medieval high street. Time stands still in this town; a short stroll from the venue you’ll find a world of romantic cottages, charming pubs, old coaching Inns, and cosy tearooms.

The internal architectural features are truly stunning at the venue. The chapel has a spectacular domed ceiling and the many large arched windows provide fabulous views of the Chiltern Hills and the historic rooftops of Old Amersham. Additional historic features include the original pulpit from 1906, and a huge tiered mezzanine gallery. So if you’re a fan of historic properties, this venue could well be your perfect wedding venue!
