Photographing weddings at Badgemoor Park

Badgemore Park is a stunning venue for wedding photography.  It is regarded as the number one leisure and lifestyle destination in Henley-on-Thames, particularly renowned for its golfing facilities, fitness, dining options, weddings, events and conferences.

The Estate was originally a gift from William the Conqueror to Henry de Ferrers and his family.  He came to England with William the Conqueror in 1066 and historians believe he was in charge of the Norman armories. The family retained the estate until their fall in 1266.

Then in Victorian times the owners largely rebuilt the property on the estate. It has also been home more recently to the McAlpine construction family who also created their stud farm on the land.

And to this day the venue maintains its elegance and sophistication, perfect for a wedding celebration. The fabulous 120-acre parkland estate includes a wonderful 18-hole golf course.

Getting Married at Badgemoor Park

For your wedding the venue will offer you two options, the Coach House or the Fairway View:

First, the Coach House holds a license for civil ceremonies, housing up to 130 guests. Then for your drinks reception and photo-opportunities, the adjoining 18th century courtyard is absolutely idyllic.

Second, the Fairway View room is on the first floor. The big windows provide extensive vistas over the stunning estate. Whilst natural daylight floods the room for your special day.

I just love photographing weddings at this pretty venue, there are just so many photo-opportunities in every direction. In particular, the courtyard and walled gardens provide an abundance of opportunities for your wedding photos.

I’ve only photographed two weddings at Badgemoor Park, and on each occasion the facilities have impressed me. Not to mentioned the dedicated and passionate team who are running the events at this lovely venue.
