Covent Garden Hotel Wedding Photography
Photographing weddings at the Covent Garden Hotel
The Covent Garden Hotel is located on cobbled Monmouth Street, and dates back to the 1890’s when it was a French hospital in this less desirable district of London. Fast forward to the present day it’s now one of London’s most desirable areas. The hotel is in the heart of the theatre district and surrounded by many trendy independent boutiques, fabulous restaurants, desirable cafes and bars. The Covent Garden Hotel interiors have been dramatically designed with a modern take on old English style by owner and Design Director Kit Kemp, the attention to detail everywhere is fabulous.
The entire hotel is just like a glamorous and colourful film set; the bustling lobby leads into the lively brasserie and bar. The sweeping stone staircase leads to a gorgeously cosy wood panelled drawing room and library, each with its own beautiful fireplace. The antique furniture and paintings are pretty amazing too, and the rooms themselves have spectacular views overlooking the hustle and bustle outside and Covent Garden’s rooftops.
The Covent Garden Hotel offers sophisticated opulence in the heart of London’s theatre district, and they even have their own state of the art cinema, what more could you ask for!
I was completely blown away by this hotel when I attended a wedding there a couple of years ago. I can’t recommend the Covent Garden Hotel highly enough any for couples looking for a smaller wedding venue that mixes tradition and glitz under one roof.
The picture opportunities were fabulous at the hotel, and it was the rich warm colours and wow interiors that captured my heart and imagination. The Covent Garden Hotel is truly divine, I just hope I get an opportunity to photograph another wedding at this wonderful hotel.
