Waddesdon Manor Wedding Photography
Photographing weddings at Waddesdon Manor
Waddesdon Manor and its vast estate is set in the stunningly beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside, and is widely regarded as one of Britain’s finest stately homes. If you’re looking for the ultimate wow factor, wedding venues do not get much better or grander than Waddesdon Manor. Combined with their renowned hospitality and exquisite food and wine, you really can’t better this most enchanting setting.
Waddesdon Manor was built to entertain the well connected friends and associates of Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild in the later part of the 19th Century, as well as to house his incredible collection of art. Ferdinand decided he’d like the style of a Renaissance French Chateau from the Loire Valley, and so he engaged the highly respected architect Gabriel-Hippolyte Destailleur to bring his vision to life. It is believed that the land purchase, design, build, labour and furnishing costs totalled in the region of £2 million, and hundreds of stone masons, artisans, landscape gardeners and builders were employed during its construction. Visitors to Ferdinand’s new weekend retreat included Queen Victoria, politicians and literary figures; he was renowned for his most exceptional banquets and parties. The Rothschilds had built a number of grand properties in the local area, and as a result the Vale of Aylesbury was known to many as Rothschildshire.
I’m very fortunate to be recommended by Waddesdon Manor as one of their preferred wedding photographers, and my association with the Waddesdon Estate goes back 16 years. On the estate I’m recommended for weddings at The Five Arrows, The Dairy and Waddesdon Manor itself. All of their wedding venues are breath taking, and each one offers something unique and truly magical.
There are just so many stunning backdrops for your wedding photographs at each of them, I hope my galleries give you an insight as to the many options available. You can see many more of my pictures on the wedding websites for Waddesdon Manor, The Dairy and The Five Arrows, my display albums are also on show if you decided to do a Waddesdon site visit for your wedding.
Over the past 15 years I’ve attended over 200 weddings on the estate, it has become like a second home to me during my career. If you’re planning a wedding at any of the Waddesdon Estate venues I’d love to hear from you about your photography requirements, or for more information about hosting your wedding at Waddesdon Manor click here.
