The Wedding Venue – Hartwell House Hotel
The stunning Hartwell House, with wow interiors and exteriors make wedding photographs a pleasure! The colourful history of this grand country house is every match for its opulent interiors and exquisite five star service. If you like historic properties, there’s so much to fall in love with at this exquisite hotel, and every time I visit I see details I’ve never noticed before. And this is from someone who’s attended over eighty weddings here!
The Finer Details Of The Day
For their summer celebrations, Cheryl and Gareth booked exclusive use of the Hartwell House so their guests could treat the venue as if it was their home from home for the day. With so many beautiful rooms at this county house hotel, I hope the guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
I’ll never forget the immaculate attention to detail, not to mention the gorgeous vibrant colour scheme. Cheryl’s gown was amazing; the long train and detailing on this masterpiece was breathtaking. Every little detail on the day was taken care of, so the guests were certainly well looked after.
One lovely touch was the newlyweds bringing their gorgeous little dog to the wedding, adorned with the cutest little bow for the day. Then on cue, she behaved beautifully for the camera as Cheryl and Gareth went for a stroll through the grounds with me prior to the wedding breakfast.
Togetherness
From the heartfelt vows, to the moving speeches, the entire day was extraordinarily moving. It’s always so hard to put the weddings I attend into words. Thankfully I can rely heavily on my pictures do most of the talking. Week in week out I get to meet incredible people, I get to witness amazing celebrations, and I get to visit sublime wedding venues! Although every now and again I meet a couple who radiate something extra into the world – Cheryl and Gareth are two such people.
Family is everything to Cheryl and Gareth. To see this lovely couple interact with their families was a joy; there was so much love and warmth all around at this wonderful wedding. Everything about this celebration was a treat for the mind and soul. When the family bond is this strong, I know the wedding photographs will be an absolute joy!
The Evening Reception
Having the run of the hotel was such a treat! If the guests wanted to be part of the action they could make a beeline for the dance-floor, and for the quieter moments they could get away from it all in one of the hotel’s super comfy reception rooms. Albeit, the busiest place by far right through until late into the evening was the dance-floor! There was some serious non-stop dancing happening, great for picture opportunities!
Some of my favourite images from the day were captured on the hotel’s stunning Jacobean staircase. These pictures were achieved partly with the ambient light, but mostly with my special effects lighting techniques.

We can’t thank Mark enough for the great photos that he took of our wedding. From the initial meeting to the wedding itself Mark was very professional and responsive to our questions/requests and the pricing was very clear and transparent.
We opted for the 10 hour package and Mark certainly worked constantly through the full 10 hours at the wedding. As a consequence we got so many perfect photos that we are struggling to pick our favourites for the album! The turn around time after the wedding was also very impressive with some photos available within a couple of days and the rest available within two weeks.
Since our wedding album arrived a few days ago, we have not been able to put it down…we really love it so much and we wanted to say thank you once again to Mark for everything!
