A Glorious Summer’s Day At Missenden Abbey Wedding
Amie and Mark married at the beautiful Missenden Abbey on a perfect warm summer’s day, and you couldn’t wish for more idyllic conditions! This was a fabulous wedding to photograph, as from start to finish everyone one was in fun loving party mood.
The abbey have been recommending me for the past 15 years, it’s a venue I love visiting time after time!
Special Memories
One of my favourite moments was seeing Mark’s face well up as his beautiful bride to be made her way down the aisle. I sometimes feel a little intrusive at times like this, but couples know I’m doing this for them. The resulting magical pictures capture memories that will last a lifetime.
The beautiful smiles from Amie and Mark continued throughout the ceremony, it was clear to all of the family and friends in attendance that these two were madly in love!
The Children Loved The Abbey Grounds
Lots of children were invited to Amie and Mark’s really informal wedding, and this gave me plenty of opportunities for great fun pictures. Most children start out quite shy when I first arrive, but in no time at all they are usually running circles round me. I captured some stunning images of the kids throughout the day, and you’ll see some of these below.
The energy that these adorable children brought to the wedding was so magical, and their happy faces and laughter was truly infectious on the day!
Picture Opportunities In The Abbey Grounds
With so many incredible backdrops and vistas at Missenden Abbey, it really is a photographers dream location! I’m always trying to alternate the scenes in my pictures, this really helps showcase the abbey and its glorious grounds to their very best. Amie and Mark asked me to capture as many candid moments as possible, whilst still shooting some classic and family groups.
During the drinks reception, I encouraged the newlyweds to take a short ten minute walk to visit the very best backdrops in the grounds. Not only did these locations make for great pictures, but the stroll also provides some great natural moments too. The shots of Amie and Mark giggling with their bridal party as they strolled around the gardens were some of my favourite images from the day.
The Speeches
The speeches in the marquee were superb and original – the guests’ reactions in my pictures say it all! Most of the guests are oblivious to my camera and long lens as I snap away to capture their reactions!
When I’m taking my pictures, I’m watching not just the speaker, but the reactions of everyone nearby. The precise split second click of the shutter is so crucial to obtaining the perfect image, in the blink of the eye the moment can be lost forever.
Magical Interior Touches
Amie and Mark opted for some fabulous interior extras, and I particularly loved their really original table plan, the amazing sparkly dance floor, and the giant Mr & Mrs illuminated letters. The marquee was also beautifully decorated for the day with lots of personal touches everywhere.
Their stunning floral arrangements were pretty special too, you could see that no expense was spared to obtain the gorgeous look they achieved.
I Loved This Incredible Wedding
The buzzy atmosphere at Aime and Mark’s wedding was as good as it gets, there was certainly one fabulous party vibe going all day long! The energy, the smiles, the non-stop laughter, and the really fun loving personalities at this wedding made for one heck of celebration. It’s weddings like this that remind me why I came into this profession, I loved every minute of it!
