Beaumont Estate Wedding Photography
Photographing weddings at Beaumont Estate
The historic and unique Beaumont Estate is nestled in 40 acres of stunning parkland in Old Windsor. The hotel is an elaborate mix of old and new, and there are plenty of opportunities for fabulous wedding photographs both inside out and out. The huge chapel on the estate is available for larger wedding receptions, and the interiors of this now deconsecrated building are truly spectacular! I’ve had three bookings so far at this lovely hotel, and my wedding photography results can be seen above.
St John’s Beaumont was opened in 1888 initially as the preparatory school for the Jesuit public school Beaumont College, which was also situated in Old Windsor. It was designed by John Francs Bentley, one of the most famous architects of his day who later went on to design Westminster Cathedral in London.
I adore the amazing architectural interiors of this lovely old property, one of my favourite areas for my wedding pictures is the grand staircase inside the entrance to the original house. As you climb the steps you really get a sense of the grandeur inside this charming old property. The views from the top give you a birds eye view of the grand entrance hall through the majestic chandelier, then as you glance through the huge windows the view of the distant landscape will take your breath away. My absolute favourite part of Beaumont House for photography is definitely the chapel, it is as gorgeous and as grand as chapels come! It’s approached via a long, narrow, quite modest corridor from the main house, and the very last thing you’d expect to see is a chapel on this scale as you turn the corner. For most first time visitors I’m sure they are blown away by the unexpected and surreal discovery.
